The impact my passion has on the world is not something I am blind to, and I made a promise to myself to no be part of the problem.

Fast fashion, mass production, and consumerism is one of the biggest issues in our planet, creating thousands of landfills full of textile waste, trash, etc.

I have been a Girl Scout since I was six years old (stay with me, this will all connect), and for those who don't know, at the end of our scout career we take on a project to educate and make a difference in our society. Of course, mine had to do with sewing. But it went farther than that. While researching, I learned that the effect of fast fashion are not the low quality, low wage, superficial facts that we know. It is something that has affected families, children, buildings, cities, etc. And our contamination, production, and consumerism numbers only go up year after year.
